By accessing or using The Neurodivergent Nexus ("Nexus," "the Platform"), operated by Next Steps to Thrive, LLC ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
The Neurodivergent Nexus is a neuroaffirming wellness and self-advocacy platform designed for neurodivergent individuals and their families. Our services include AI-powered chat support (Beacon), document analysis (Prism), wellness tracking (Radar Scan), expert directory, community features, and crisis navigation (Signal Flare).
The Platform does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, or diagnostic services. All content, AI responses, assessments, and recommendations are for informational and self-advocacy purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice and should not replace professional evaluation or treatment.
Self-assessments on this platform (including PHQ-9 and burnout screenings) are educational tools, not clinical diagnoses. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making health decisions based on information from this Platform.
Signal Flare is a navigation tool that helps connect users with appropriate crisis resources. It is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) is available 24/7.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian awareness of their use of the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Our AI features use Google Gemini to generate responses. While we design our prompts to be neuroaffirming and evidence-informed, AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific situation. Always verify important information with qualified professionals.
By using AI features with health data consent enabled, you acknowledge that your queries and relevant context are sent to Google's API for processing. Google's API terms state this data is not used to train their models.
All health-related data you enter is voluntary. You choose what to share and can export or delete your data at any time. We implement HIPAA-aligned safeguards including encryption, access controls, audit logging, and session management to protect your information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
If you participate in community features, you agree to: treat others with respect and assume good intent; not share others' personal or health information; not provide medical advice or diagnose others; not engage in harassment, discrimination, or hate speech; and report safety concerns to moderators.
We reserve the right to moderate, remove content, or restrict accounts that violate these guidelines.
The Platform, its design, branding, and original content are owned by Next Steps to Thrive, LLC. You retain ownership of any content you create on the Platform. By using the Platform, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Next Steps to Thrive, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. This includes, without limitation, any reliance on AI-generated content, self-assessment results, or resource recommendations.
Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 if you have not made any payments).
We strive to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes and always ensure you can export your data.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the state in which Next Steps to Thrive, LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the applicable courts.
Consent. By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box during sign-in, you expressly consent to receive SMS/text messages from The Neurodivergent Nexus (operated by Next Steps to Thrive, LLC) at the phone number you provide. Your consent is not a condition of using the Platform, though certain phone-based features (such as voice call-in to Beacon) require a verified phone number.
Types of Messages. Messages may include: account verification codes, medication reminders, task and appointment reminders, wellness check-ins, platform notifications, and responses from the Beacon AI assistant when using the call-in feature.
Message Frequency. Message frequency varies based on your account settings and usage. Verification codes are sent once per sign-in attempt. Reminders and notifications depend on your configured preferences in Settings → Notifications → SMS Preferences.
Costs. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
Opt-Out. You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message from us, or by revoking SMS consent in your account settings (Space Station → Settings → Notifications → SMS Preferences → Revoke SMS Consent). After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message.
Opt-In. Reply YES, START, SUBSCRIBE, JOIN, or OPTIN to opt in to SMS messages. Beacon can sign you up for SMS notifications when you text any of these keywords.
Beacon Text Chat. Reply BEACON to any message to start a Beacon AI text chat session directly via SMS.

Carriers.Supported carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and most major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy. Your phone number and messaging data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
